L'Auberge Mas Camps est situé dans les collines des Pyrénées, entourée par des vignes. Dans ce paysage idyllique, nous vous offrons l'évasion : nous sommes seulement à 20 minutes de la ville dynamique de Perpignan avec ses correspondances quotidiennes vers Paris, Londres, Toulouse et Barcelone. Bien que nous sommes à la campagne, nous sommes à moins de 30 minutes de la frontière espagnole, à environ 40 minutes de Canet Plage, près d'une heure et demie des stations de sport d'hiver et à deux heures et demi d'Andorre. traffic speeding past the carpark exit, no tv in the room, low water pressure one morning, a certain very rude local bus driver...

In a rather isolated spot - you absolutely do need a car as we found the local bus drivers refuse to stop outside the hotel and you have to walk 3 miles to the nearest bus stop in the village to get anywhere. A car makes a huge difference staying here.

Very nice owners, helpful and happy to chat with us. Owner collected us from village one evening and organised a rental car for us next day.

Cars race by during the day but dead calm at night; no fellow guest noise that we noticed. Very peaceful place to stay.

Very basic room to be honest but stunning views over the vineyards. No television in the room or on the premises at all.

We booked and paid for budget/basic and got budget and basic in return - the dining though is second to none and we had one of the best meals of our trip through France. Rustic dining room and really excellent food, a pleasant surprise for sure. If you stay here definitely have a meal.
