• Positive: The hotel was clean, safe and conveniently located. Very friendly staff.
• Negative: It seemed a bit overpriced for as "bare-boned" as the room was, but perhaps they feel like they can charge quite a bit extra (when compared to similar hotels a little less centrally located) because they are right in the heart of the Puerta del Sol.

• Quietness: 10 We had an inner courtyard room, so noise was not an issue; however, I have stayed in this hotel (15 years ago) and had a room with a balcony overlooking the street, and it was extremely noisy. (This was before Europa's MAJOR renovation, though, so maybe the extra-thick/insulated balcony doors help to keep out that street noise now.)
