• Positive: Wonderful sea/land/amphitheatre views from balcony. Also right in the centre of town, plus the old town and plenty of shops. In particular Rambla Vella and Rambla Nova. Access to beach was tricky because of the rail net work, but a pleasant walk all the same.

• Negative: they said the pool would be fixed every day, but it never got fixed and was closed the while time

• Common facilities and services: 2.5 The pool was closed (it was August!) and one of two elevators were broken throughout my stay.
• Staff: 5 The manager was nice when I complained, but the other staff weren't very polite or attentive.
• Quietness: 2.5 We had to move rooms as there was a roadworks outside our first room.
• Room: 7.5 Our first room was small with a rooftop view, our second room was a suite with a great view.
• Value for money: 2.5 I'm not sure yet. I didn't get the pool I thought I'd paid for, but there was a problem with the bill, so I may get the 15% discount I was promised ...
