Second time to stay at this hotel in 2019 we spent one week in May 2019 and 16 days in September 2019, We booked the Sun Suite Royle which are the larger rooms at the top of the complex. We arrived in May for our week-long holiday from a late flight it was around 22:00 hours when we came to the reception of the hotel. Our two kids usually go to bed around 19:00 hours each day, so it's late, and they are looking to sleep and rest after a long 4.5-hour flight. We spent an unusually long time waiting for the receptionist to attend to us around 15 minutes waiting to check-in. So the fun starts, the receptionist tone and manner was something I had never encountered before at the front desk of a hotel. She was disrespectful and considerably aggressive in her behaviour. As it was our first time at the hotel, and it was late our children needed to sleep, we sensed her tone and checked-in took the keys and started the long walk to our room. Check-in for the Sun Suit Royle takes place at the reception for the Servatur Terrazamar. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to your apartment with two elevator rides carrying you to the top of the Servatur Terrazamar. Then you leave that complex and walk over a small road to the Sun Siut Royle then you take one more elevator. On arrival to the apartment, the two key cards that we had been issued from reception did not open the door. Both displayed red LED lights when inserted in. Typically not a big deal, but when you have walked for 15 minutes carrying four big suitcases and pushing a double pushchair. Along with two unhappy babies standing outside a room, you can not open. Knowing that you have to leave your wife and kids standing there while you run back to reception is not a good feeling. But sure it could be a technical problem or human error no big deal, either way, I work in Tech, and I know mistakes happen. But reading on you will see that this mistake was made three times by the same So I run back down to reception and left waiting for another 10 minutes. Got the keys cards coded correctly this time and ran back to my wife and two kids. They have now been standing in a hotel corridor for over half an hour waiting for me to return. The next morning we woke up dressed the kids and headed down for breakfast. Arriving at the restaurant for breakfast we had booked a for a week and paid for in advance that they had only one baby chair that was in use. We had to leave the restaurant walk back to the room to get our pushchair and walk the 15 min back to reception. To inquire about possibly getting another baby chair so that our one-year-old baby girl might be able to eat at the restaurant the next day. We had to leave the hotel to feed our children breakfast that morning. I was told they would refund us our pre-paid breakfast for that morning which never happened. They did succeed, however by getting another baby chair for the restaurant for the following day. Two days later, at breakfast, my two-year-old son asks for a pancake for his breakfast. When the waiter arrived at our table with the pancake for our son, it looked beautiful on till I was trying to butter it for him and flipped it over, It was black and burnt so severely that it was not fit for human consumption. Up to this point We had not complained about the service, I did not want the hassle while I was a holiday, but when I saw the food that they tried to give my two-year-old son, it all became too much. I asked the waiter to inform the hotel manager I needed his attendance to my table. She tried to fob me off and made a least six attempts to remove the severely burnt pancake that it was not fit for human consumption from my table. I informed him of our unhappiness. Hours later, my wife asked me to talk with reception about the possibility of a late check out as our flight was a later evening departure. I did go and ask for a late check out only to be told that I must come back and ask again on the day of my departure again I was spoken to in a disrespectful and considerably aggressive manner by the same lady. We have never had an issue booking and paying for a late check out anywhere in the world. So the second stay was this September for 17 days in the sunsuit royle, on arrival we checked in without issues the keys worked. Very disappointed by the room and future. It was socking, and I have attached photos to this email for your reference. Again my wife asked for a late checkout, and I was present when your receptionist spoke to her like she was a child in an aggressive unhelpful manner. We paid for a late checkout using your online site so that we would not have to deal with this very hostile person. And when I asked for new keys for the room on she again two times gave me keys that did not work to the room on the meaning I Spent 40 min waking back and front to the room with two small kids 1 and 3.
